According to an arrest report, Camron Donte Yarber, 21, faces two counts of attempted murder.

Police said the stabbings occurred Monday morning in the city’s Allapattah neighborhood.

At around 9 a.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Northwest 20th Avenue, where they found the two victims suffering from apparent stab wounds, authorities said.

According to the arrest report, prior to the stabbings, Yarber’s mother had returned to her apartment with McDonald’s food for her son.

Police said the woman took a shower and upon exiting the shower she found Yarber standing on the bed, yelling at her and accusing her of “not being his mother.”

According to the report, the suspect’s grandmother tried to calm him down but he ran to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed his mother in the head.

Police said the mother wrapped her arms around her son, trying to restrain him, but he broke free from her and then stabbed his grandmother in the head and face.

According to the report, Yarber’s mother fled the apartment, seeking help, and the grandmother was also able to escape.

Police said Yarber then fled the scene.

According to the report, both victims went to the apartment building’s management office where a witness tried to stop the bleeding and called 911.

Both victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where they were listed in serious condition.

Police said officers found a pool of blood in front of the apartment when they arrived, as well as in the elevator and in the lobby.

Police confirmed that both victims received stitches and staples to close their wounds.

A knife was recovered in the elevator, authorities said.

According to the report, Yarber was found by officers across the street from the apartment building.

“After reading the defendant his Miranda rights, he was increasingly difficult and continually stated that he did not understand,” the arrest report stated.

Yarber appeared before a judge Tuesday, who ordered him held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

The judge also issued a stay-away order, requiring him to have no contact with his mother or grandmother and to surrender any firearms.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday.
