FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – There was no shortage of spectacle in the sky as the Air Dot Show Fort Lauderdale took flight Saturday.
“It’s, you just sit there with your mouth agape and you find it hard to believe that they are able to do those kinds of performances in the sky,” air show spokesperson Chris Dirato said.
Crowds packed in along Fort Lauderdale Beach to watch the sky-high event with eight different performances.
“Most excited about the Blue Angels, but I’d like to see the F-22 as well. It’d be exciting,” attendee Tony Heffernan said.
This year marked a grand return for the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, their last appearance in the show was back in 2023.
“It’s gonna be totally worth it,” Heffernan added. “I like to see how these pilots are the best pilots in the world.”
Those skills were certainly on display for thousands, featuring loops, inversions, and much more.
“We have a little bit of everything for everybody,” Dirato said.
The event continues Sunday.
