MIAMI – A Brooklyn woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she allegedly struck a man with a wine bottle at his Miami apartment following a night out in South Beach, then stole his Rolex and ran up charges on his credit card late last year.

Brittney Scott, 29, was taken into custody just before 3 p.m. after investigators said she was identified as the woman who attacked and robbed a man she met at the Saxony Bar in South Beach last October.
According to officers with the Miami Police Department, the victim said he invited Scott back to his apartment near the 600 block of Northeast 27th Street early in the morning of Oct. 20, 2024.
They arrived at around 3 a.m., and he remembered having a drink with her before blacking out, according to an arrest report.
Police said a woman who was also staying at the apartment returned around 7 a.m. and found the victim bleeding from a cut near his right eyebrow, with a broken wine bottle on the floor.
The victim told police he was unsure how he was injured and only remembered drinking wine with Scott, the report stated.
It wasn’t until he woke up and noticed several fraud alerts on his phone that he realized his wallet and Rolex, valued at approximately $13,000, were missing, according to the report.
Police said surveillance video from the apartment building showed Scott arriving with the victim just after 3 a.m. and leaving alone about 45 minutes later.
Police said the victim later recalled that Scott hit him over the head with a wine bottle, causing him to lose consciousness. They said after the assault, his credit cards were used at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise.
Detectives said they worked with Sunrise police to identify Scott, who had previously been arrested by Miami Beach police in an unrelated first-degree theft case.
Using her information, a photo lineup was created, and the victim identified Scott as the suspect, authorities said.
Police said Scott was arrested near Northwest Seventh Avenue and 81st Street in Miami.
During a recorded interview with detectives, Scott was read her Miranda rights and agreed to speak but claimed she didn’t recall the incident, the arrest report stated.
Jail records show she is facing one count of burglary with assault or battery and second-degree grand theft.
As of Wednesday, Scott was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where her bond was listed as “to be set.”
