MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Dakota and Savannah are the big girl puppies being featured this week by the Redland Dog Sanctuary, a South Florida rescue organization dedicated to saving animals abandoned in the Redlands and Homestead areas.
The two pups come from a litter of five, and they, along with their mother, are all currently available for adoption.
Junior Siqueira, who runs the sanctuary, has made it his retirement mission to rescue as many dumped dogs as possible and find them loving homes.
He and a small team work tirelessly in the Redlands, a rural region of Miami-Dade County notorious for animal abandonment. Many dogs are found starving, injured or left to fend for themselves.
Siqueira’s sanctuary provides medical care, fosters, and adoption opportunities for these animals.
More information about the dogs and how to adopt them is available at redlanddogsanctuary.org.
