MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A teenager arrested for the shooting death of an 18-year-old at a southwest Miami-Dade park is now being charged as an adult.
Samuel Boyd, 17, was arrested last month in Charlotte, North Carolina and is now facing a second-degree murder charge.
The deadly shooting happened on April 8 at Naranja Park.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the victim was playing sports when he got into a verbal fight that escalated.
The teen allegedly pulled out a gun and shot him before leaving the scene.
