FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police and fire rescue responded to a home Tuesday night after a car plowed into it, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials confirmed.

According to FLFR, the driver crashed into the home in the area of Northwest 13th Street and Seventh Avenue around 7:20 p.m. and then fled the scene, leaving the car behind.
Photos taken from the scene show a gaping hole left in the house.
FLFR officials said a building inspector was called out to check the integrity of the structure.
As of Wednesday morning, the driver had not yet been located.
