According to an arrest report from the Homestead Police Department, the incident occurred Sunday at the Nexx motel, located at 841 N. Krome Ave.

Police said they received reports about a vehicle hitting other vehicles in the parking lot and arrived to find the suspect, Adan Jacinto-Domingo, 34, behind the wheel of a blue GMC Arcadia that was parked directly behind a vehicle that was in parking space.

According to the report, officers approached the SUV and spotted an open Corona bottle that still had condensation on it in the center console.

Police said Jacinto-Domingo also had “very red bloodshot and glassy eyes, and smelt very strongly of sweat, urine, and alcohol.”

An officer ordered Jacinto-Domingo to put the SUV in park, but Jacinto-Domingo turned the key to the off position with the vehicle still in drive, causing the SUV to roll, authorities said.

Police said the officer reached into the vehicle to place it in park and ordered Jacinto-Domingo to step out.

According to the report, Jacinto-Domingo had to use the door for support as he was getting out of the SUV.

After being asked for his driver’s license, Jacinto-Domingo “began to stall” and attempted to bribe two police officers with a $20 bill, the report stated.

According to the report, Jacinto-Domingo then began acting erratically and tried to grab one officer’s vest, at which time he was placed into handcuffs, despite trying to resist arrest.

Police said one officer deployed her Taser on the suspect before he was redirected to the ground.

According to the report, Jacinto-Domingo agreed to perform a field sobriety test but “laughed during most of the exam.”

After failing to pass the test, Jacinto-Domingo slapped an officer’s wrist as he was attempting to direct him toward a bench and then threatened to shoot the officer in the face while he was being booked, authorities said.

According to the report, the officer had to carry Jacinto-Domingo into Homestead Hospital to be medically cleared before he was booked into jail.

Police said the woman who owns the vehicle that Jacinto-Domingo allegedly struck with his SUV declined to report the traffic incident as her car sustained only minor damage.

Jacinto-Domingo faces charges of battery on a police officer, conspiracy to commit bribery, assault on a police officer, resisting an officer without violence, disorderly conduct, DUI and not having a valid driver’s license.

As of Tuesday afternoon, he was no longer appearing in the online jail database.
