The family of Hunter Raymond Gutierrez, 30, said their search brought them to The Fountains shopping center in Plantation where they believe he might have been spotted Sunday night.

A man reached out to Hunter’s family, saying he may have seen him there, barefoot.

Hunter is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and his parents say he walks with a limp or a unique gait.

They said he left their home in Davie, in the area of Flamingo Road and Orange Drive, early Sunday morning and they haven’t heard from him since.

Davie police said Hunter was last seen wearing dark-colored shorts and a gray T-shirt. He is believed to have left his home on foot, and left all of his belongings at home, including his wallet and cellphone.

Some places he could be include homeless shelters, churches or parks.

His family is pleading with the public to help anyway you can, and have a message for Hunter if he is watching.

“Bubba, you need to come home,” his father, Bill Gutierrez, said.

“We need you home. Everybody wants you home,” his mother added.

“You’re missed, buddy,” Bill Gutierrez said. “We want you to come home. Everything else we can figure out and make better.”

“We are devastated, you know?” Bill Gutierrez added. “We want to be able to take care of whatever he’s feeling and work from there.”

Hunter’s family asks that if you think you see him, make sure to take a photo.

They said many factors could have contributed to him leaving, including big feelings he might have right now with the anniversary of his brother’s death and a family pet passing away.

Those in Davie and Plantation, in the area of Flamingo and Orange Drive, are urged to check their security cameras for any signs of Hunter.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police or email BByrne@davie-fl.gov.
