Char-Hut in Pembroke Pines closes

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – After nearly 30 years, the Char-Hut in Pembroke Pines has closed its doors.

According to a post on social media, the building, located at 12221 Taft. St., where the burger restaurant has served guests has been sold and the lease was not renewed.

But Char-Hut fans can look forward to dining at a new Pembroke Pines location in the future, according to the post.

According to Char-Hut’s website, the family owned and operated restaurant first opened its doors in 1976 serving made to order burgers, chicken and salads.

Two other locations remain open in Davie and Tamarac.
