The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission did not immediately release details about the Haulover Beach incident, but Local 10 News was in the area as a woman was seen crying and screaming at some points.

FWC officials were seen talking to family members. While Local 10 was initially told by witnesses that the victim was possibly a teenager, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies confirmed there were no children involved.

According to first responders, in addition to the drowning near the sandbar, two others were transported to a hospital and one person was treated at the scene after struggling in the water.

No other details about the Haulover incidents were immediately released.

And in Fort Lauderdale, fire rescue officials confirmed that a father, identified as Antwon Wilson, 33, of Lauderhill, died after trying to save two of his children from the water off Seabreeze Boulevard, near the B Ocean hotel, as they appeared to be in distress.

FLFR spokesman Frank Guzman said both children were rescued from the water, one of whom was transported to Broward Health Medical Center, along with a Good Samaritan who also entered the water to help.

Guzman said both were awake and responsive at last check.
