An arrest form stated that the victim told the woman and Mendizabal that he would leave with no issue, but as he walked to his car, Mendizabal followed him and pulled out a gun, racking the slide while stating, āIām going to shoot you.ā
Police said Mendizabal then opened the victimās passenger door and pointed the gun at the victim before allowing him to drive away.
According to police, while they were speaking to Mendizabal, he allowed them to view Ring camera footage which showed him following the victim to his vehicle and taking out a gun.
Mendizabal denied ever pointing the gun at the victim, police said.
Jail records show he was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a person 65 or order and improper exhibition of a firearm.
