According to the report, the students had been participating in an eight-week internship program through Onward Birthright Israel and were three weeks into the experience when the conflict intensified.
The report stated that organizers moved the group on June 14 to a more secure location as missile exchanges between Israeli and Iranian forces escalated.
According to the Miami Hurricane, all commercial flights in and out of Israel have been canceled indefinitely due to the conflict. Students are now scheduled to leave Israel by boat later this week, traveling to Cyprus, where they will then fly back to the United States.
As of Thursday, the students had not received final confirmation or details regarding their return flights.
