EDISON, N.J. – A South Florida truck driver is facing an attempted murder charge after he shot and critically wounded another trucker on the New Jersey Turnpike, according to news outlets in the Garden State.
News outlet NJ.com reports that state police tracked down Eiver Espinosa Rodriguez, 32, of Homestead, to Interstate 295 in Petersburg, Virginia and authorities there arrested him. He now awaits extradition to New Jersey.

The outlet reports that the shooting happened on the Turnpike ― part of Interstate 95 ― at around 10:15 a.m. Friday in Edison, New Jersey, about 30 miles outside of New York City.
Citing the New Jersey State Police, NJ.com reports that Espinosa Rodriguez shot a box truck driver in the abdomen during a road rage incident as the two drove down the highway, leaving the victim in critical but stable condition.
Authorities said in addition to a charge of attempted murder, Espinosa Rodriguez faces counts of possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, possession of fraudulent government documents and hindering apprehension.
