Crabfest brings seafood boils, new items to Red Lobster menu

Crabfest is back at Red Lobster, just in time for summer.

The national restaurant group is offering the Mariner’s Boil, which includes a Maine lobster tail, shrimp, crab legs, corn and red potatoes, and the Sailor’s Boil, with shrimp, smoked sausage, corn and red potatoes, both served tableside.

According to a media release, new crabfest dishes have also been added to the menu:

  • Crabby Stuffed Mushrooms – An appetizer packed with crab stuffing
  • Crab-Topped Asparagus – A side dish featuring asparagus topped with crab
  • Crab-Topped Potato – A side dish, elevating a classic dish with savory crab
  • Steak Oscar – Sirloin topped with lump meat in a creamy sauce
  • Salmon Oscar – Atlantic salmon topped with lump crab meat in a cream sauce

Red Lobster emerged from bankruptcy in Sept. 2024 under new ownership, led by one of its lenders, Fortress Investment Group, which has initially committed 60 million dollars to revitalize the chain.

The Red Lobster in Hialeah quietly closed its doors last May. The kitchen equipment for the location was even put up for auction on an online restaurant liquidator listing Hialeah on its site.

The following locations in Miami-Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach locations remain open:

- 13300 Biscayne Blvd., North Miami

-1695 NW 87th Avenue, Doral

- 2000 University Dr., Coral Springs

- 5950 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale

-2900 Oakwood Blvd., Hollywood

-296 N University Drive, Pembroke Pines

-803 S. University Drive, Plantation

- 2201 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., West Palm Beach

Crabfest is available through Sept. 14.
