Good Samaritan helps stop CVS disturbance on South Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A good Samaritan intervened in a dangerous disturbance at a CVS on South Beach.

“He took some trash cans from the Ocean Deli and a couple other local businesses, threw them in the middle of street. Very agitated, very violent kind of behavior,” resident Seth Lowery said. “He was throwing random items. He threw two canes at me, (had) a water gun. At one point, he had a water gun, put it in his back and he came out.”

Video shows resident Seth Lowery confronting a man wreaking havoc at the pharmacy at 20th Street and Collins Avenue on June 13.

“I just said, ‘Get on the ground,’” Lowery said. “And I mentioned that the cops are on the way.”

Police arrested the 31-year-old suspect, Roy Forty-Vega.

He was first taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pains and was then taken to jail.
