OCHOPEE, Fla. – The Federal Aviation Administration has issued what it calls a “VIP Movement Notification” for Tuesday in Ochopee, and we know the notification is specific to Air Force One.
There’s no guarantee that President Donald Trump will visit what DeSantis calls “Alligator Alcatraz,” but sources tell Local 10 that Trump and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem are expected to come Tuesday to see the temporary migrant detention center currently under construction.
DeSantis boasts that the runway at the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport can handle the president’s plane.

Supporters say housing migrants there will ensure no one escapes because the surrounding area is marshland full of alligators and pythons.
But opponents say a facility like this will cause environmental damage to the Everglades.
