MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 62-year-old man stands accused of giving $6 to a 7-year-old girl, so she could keep quiet about his sexual abuse in Miami-Dade County.

A woman reported she suspected Phaisan Pongkiatsakun, who was born in Thailand and lives in Virginia Gardens, had sexually abused the girl in Miami Springs, records show.
According to a Miami Springs Police Department’s arrest report, the woman reported seeing Pongkiatsakun alone with the girl in a “loft area” on Monday at a business.
The girl told the woman and an investigator that Pongkiatsakun “touched her ... kissed her on the lips ... and told her not to tell anyone,” a police officer wrote in the report.
Pongkiatsakun was at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Tuesday afternoon with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold, inmate records show.
Pongkiatsakun faced a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation.
