OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – A man suffered an injury to his hand after authorities said an explosive firework unintentionally detonated while he was holding it.
The incident happened Monday along the 1800 block of Northwest 142nd Lane in Opa-locka.
According to police, rescue crews responded and rushed the man to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with injuries to his left hand.
Authorities did not provide an update on the man’s health status.
