DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – Police in Delray Beach are searching for a reckless driver, who vandalized a Pride mural.
Police said the driver of a black pickup truck intentionally did two burnouts to the LGBTQ Pride intersection and it was all caught on camera.
Damage was caused to the paint at the intersection on Northeast 1st Street and 2nd Avenue.
It’s not the first time the crosswalk has been vandalized.
Last year, Dylan Brewer, 19, of Clearwater, was accused of damaging the same mural.
Palm Beach County jail records showed Brewer posted a $5,250 bond on charges of felony criminal mischief and reckless driving because of the incident.
Alexander Jerich, then 20, pleaded guilty to the same charges for performing damaging burnouts in the intersection in 2021.
A judge sentenced the Lake Worth man to probation and community service.
