Recall alert: Aldi recalls brie cheese due to listeria concerns

Savencia Cheese USA Announces Voluntary Recall of Select Soft Ripened Cheeses (Courtesy: FDA)

Aldi is recalling a brie cheese sold at its stores nationwide due to a listeria concern.

Six different kinds of cheeses made by Savencia Cheese USA were mentioned in a U.S. Food and Drug Administration release over the weekend.

The following products are included in the recall:

According to a media release, the cheeses were manufactured in their Lena manufacturing facility. Through routine testing, it was identified that processing equipment at the site may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
