In a press release, JetBlue said it was the first airline to accept Venmo, providing customers with an “easy and secure” payment option.

“We’re continually looking for ways to make it easier to book a JetBlue flight on our website and mobile app,” said Carol Clements, chief digital and technology officer, JetBlue. “Adding Venmo offers a seamless payment option for customers who enjoy the ease and convenience of the Venmo platform.”

JetBlue highlighted its partnership with Venmo as just the latest example of how the airline is using digital technology to help customers “customize and simplify their travel journey.”

“In September 2024, the JetBlue mobile app introduced additional features including a countdown to boarding on phone lock screens, as well as more easily accessible gate information,” the press release stated.
