Vote 2024: Turnout in Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe surpasses 40% as early voting continues

DORAL, Fla. – The latest official electoral data available Thursday shows voter turnout in South Florida surpassed 40%, as early voting, when a ballot can be cast at any designated location before election day, was ongoing.

In Monroe County, the voter turnout was over 49% with 13,123 who voted early and 12,727 who voted by mail. Early voting ends at 5 p.m., on Nov. 2.

In Broward County, the voter turnout was over 43% with 287,267 who voted early and 208,156 who voted by mail. Early voting ends at 7 p.m., on Nov. 3.

In Miami-Dade County, the voter turnout was over 42% with 404,790 who voted early and 237,504 who voted by mail. Early voting ends at 7 p.m., on Nov. 3.

The statewide data shows that over 3.7 million have voted early in Florida, including over 1.9 million Republicans and more than a million Democrats.

It also shows that over 2.4 million have voted by mail in Florida, including over 1 million Democrats and more than 882,000 Republicans.

The deadline for returning a ballot and voting in person is 7 p.m., on Nov. 5, when voting is limited to one designated station.
