ATLANTA – Having lost six of their first seven meetings against the Atlanta Braves (53-27) in 2023, the Miami Marlins (48-34) will have a chip on their shoulders as they gear up for a big three-game weekend series that opens Friday night at Truist Park.

Riding a five-game winning streak, the Marlins are confident they can turn their losing ways around in Atlanta.

The club will have Jazz Chisholm Jr. back in the fold, who closed the Boston series by hitting two solo home runs.

Do not forget about Luis Arraez, hitting a mind-boggling .392 as the leadoff man. Arraez will represent the Marlins at the All-Star Game July 11 in Seattle as the starting second baseman.

Meanwhile, the Braves, holding a six-game lead over the Marlins in the National League East, are 13-1 from June 14-28.

Paced by four-time All-Star Ronald Acuña Jr., the league has simply been unable to figure out Atlanta and their talented squad.

Joining Acuña Jr. at the All-Star Game for Atlanta is catcher Sean Murphy and shortstop Orlando Arcia.
