Hockey fans gear up for Florida Panthers championship parade at Fort Lauderdale Beach

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Hockey fans are gearing up for the Florida Panthers’ Parade of Champions on Sunday.

The route begins at Riomar Street and heads south on A1A down to Southeast Fifth Street.

Sky 10 captured the mile-plus-long route Thursday afternoon during final preparations.

“Very excited!” said Above the Wave employee Patrick Fovor.

The celebratory caravan will pass by a beach-themed clothing shop where the new Florida Panthers championship gear is already on display ahead of the huge crowds.

Hugs, tears, sweat— you name it! This Stanley Cup has seen it all, from beer chugs to a quick splash in the Atlantic and even pasta dinners.

“Preparing, getting the merchandise in— we just got it today. We’re also waiting for the hats, so we’re gonna be suited up over here for the parade,” said Fovor.

For some lucky parade-goers, the best view of the action will be from the rooftop bar at Bo’s Beach Club, directly across from the rally site. However, this will be a private event.

“The adrenaline is rushing, we are prepared, and we’re getting prepared slowly but surely,” said Lindsay Ravenell, General Manager of Bo’s Beach Club.

Downstairs at Bo’s Beach Club, the public is welcome. Management says the bar and restaurant are fine-tuning their parade plans, calling in extra workers, and will open at 8 a.m. Sunday.

“We’re just going to take it how it comes and just knock it out of the ballpark. We’re ready, we’re staffed up, and we’re just going to take it how it comes,” added Ravenell.

“It’s gonna be crazy. It’s gonna be crazy, but it’s gonna be a good time,” said Andrea Ramirez, a bartender for Bo’s Beach Club.

“No one knows how to throw a party like down in South Florida,” said Benjamin Pfaff, who is visiting from Maryland. “All these people up north...they don’t know what they’re doing.”
