Florida Panthers celebrate: Double-decker buses line up with players holding Stanley Cup and title belt

Players interact with fans along A1A

FORT LAUDERDALE BEACH, Fla. – The double-decker buses with The Florida Panthers Stanley Cup Champions lined up, as their fans defied the rain on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The parade’s peal of trumpets was at Riomar Street. Players held up The Stanley Cup Champions Title Belt and The Cup.

When Aleksander Barkov held up the cup, excited fans got through a line of barricades and surrounded the bus. Some threw their phones at players who recorded a greeting and threw them back at them.

The “Let’s go Panthers!” chant echoed as fans lined up along State Road A1A to Southeast Fifth Street where the stage was ready for the rally on the beach.

Some fans had been waiting three decades for that moment, so the rain did not dissuade them from standing their ground with joy.

Hours before the parade started, fans met in front of a stage setup on the beach at Southeast Fifth Street. They waited for the parade to end to see the players who brought them so much joy.

Even when it was raining, the crowd stood their ground.
