CORAL GABLES, Fla. – There is another preseason honor for Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.
On Monday, Ward was named one of 50 student-athletes on the watch list for the 2024 Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

Ward put himself on the map with two big seasons at Washington State, before transferring to Miami.
He completed 65/6 percent of his passes for 6,963 yards and 48 touchdowns in 25 games.
The watch list is narrowed down to 10 seminalists, and then 3 finalists will be named Nov. 26.
Ward and the Canes are busy in Fall Camp.
Miami opens the season on Aug. 31 in the Swamp against the Florida Gators.
