Canes jump up to No. 8 in latest poll

MIAMI – The Miami Hurricanes continue to make a strong statement.

The Canes moved up two spots in the latest AP Poll jumping from No. 10 to No. 8.

Miami crushed Ball State 62-0 on Saturday to improve to 3-0.

Cam Ward let Miami’s attack throwing for 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.

The quarterback is proving to be an early-season Heisman favorite.

This is Miami’s highest national ranking since 2020.

The Canes next game is next Saturday at Raymond James Stadium.

Miami will play USF at 7 p.m.
