Mike McDaniel says Tua Tagovailoa is taking it day-by-day, as quarterback recovers from concussion

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins continue to monitor the concussion of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

According to head coach Mike McDaniel, Tagovailoa was in the building on Monday and he saw him.

McDaniel said, “As far as I’m concerned, you’re in the protocol and he’s doing well today. We take it day-by-day. He was feeling good, but what does that mean in terms of a medical diagnosis. I don’t base my judgements based on my interactions with him.”

McDaniel added, “It was good to see him and I know his teammates were pumped to see him.”

In terms of Tagovailoa’s playing future, McDaniel said that the quarterback will address and speak about his own career.

McDaniel said, “As far as I’m concerned, I’m just worried about the human being and where that’s at day-to-day. I’ll let Tua be the champion of his career and speak on that.”

Against the Bills, Tagovailoa sustained his fourth diagnosed concussion in the last five years.
