Dolphins snap losing streak by committing to run

MIAMI – The Dolphins ran their way out of a losing streak.

The Fins snapped their 3-game losing streak by beating the New England Patriots 15-10 on Sunday.

The Dolphins rushed the ball 41 times in the win.

The Fins had 193 yards on the ground.

Rookie Jaylen Wright had 13 carries for 86 yards.

Veteran Raheem Mostert returned to action from a chest injury. Mostert had 19 carries for 80 yards.

Head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday, “This league you have to run it when they know you’re going to. If you want success in big games, in tight games, and November/December games.”

McDaniel added that to run when the other team knows it’s coming, takes all 11 players.

This is only the second time in the McDaniel era that the Dolphins ran the ball over 40 times.

The other game was Week 3 last season, when the Dolphins scored 70 points against Denver.
