CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes are right where they want to be.
Coming off the bye week, the Canes have a 6-0 record and are ranked No. 6 in the latest AP Poll.
Yet, Miami wants more.
The team held a players only meeting.
Wide receiver Xavier Restrepo would not go into the specifics of the meeting.
However, Restrepo said, “We just basically went over what’s important to this team and set boundries, and let people know we haven’t played our best ball yet.”
Linebacker Francisco Mauigoa said, “Everybody buys into this culture. I think leaders on this team are stepping up to really lead everybody towards the right mindset... we know for ourselves that we haven’t played our best football yet.”
The Canes have a tough test coming out of the bye.
After coming back from down 25 to Cal, the Canes will play at Louisville on Saturday.
That game will air in South Florida on Local10 at noon.
