Dolphins give thoughts on thrilling OT victory over Jets

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets 32-26 in overtime on Sunday to improve to 6-7 on the season.

The game featured nearly 800 yards of total offense as both teams fought to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Local 10 News spoke with wide receiver Jaylen Waddle who set a franchise record for most receiving yards (4,085) in a player’s first four seasons. He finished the game with 9 catches for 99 yards.

“I mean it’s big,” he said. “There’s a lot of great receivers that have played here and just being here and doing that is special.”

“We’re the type of team whose confidence is always up,” he said. “We will always compete. It’s a good thing and we know that anything can happen.”
