Many in South Florida feel proud of her victory against Aryna Sabalenka and are excited about her match against Iga Swiatek on Saturday.

Anisimova‘s father, Konstantin Anisimov, a Russian migrant, died in 2019, and she took a break from 2020 to 2022.

“It’s such a wonderful ... really heartwarming story that we get to see her after all these years,” said Filip Bogic, a coach who played with her at the tennis center.
