The wife of former U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez has been convicted of charges that she teamed up with the New Jersey Democrat to accept bribes of cash, gold bars and a luxury car.

A jury will resume deliberations on Monday in the bribery case brought against Nadine Menendez after a prosecutor told a jury that she was a “critical participant” in a five-year fraud with her husband, former New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez.
