Camillus House served the homeless Thanksgiving Day meals as it has for over six decades.

A blaming game ensued over the weekend after a hostel meant for tourists in South Beach became a temporary shelter for a group of dozens without housing who had traveled from a shelter in Miami.

Camillus House’s chief executive officer reported that city of Miami officials — and not the nonprofit organization — transported dozens of people without housing to a hostel in South Beach.

With the help of volunteers and donors, the Camillus House has been serving a Thanksgiving Day feast for Miami’s homeless community for 63 years.
