DAVIE, Fla. – It has been more than 15 years since a Connecticut man named George Smith went overboard on a cruise ship. At the time, his death was considered suspicious and now the person who may have had answers about what happened on that ship has been murdered. In July of 2005, 26-year-old George Smith went tumbling off a cruise ship balcony into the water below. Smith was never seen again and the mystery of how he went overboard has never been solved. Davie police are hoping to find the truth behind his murder case now.

Troy Cameron is leaving St. Thomas Aquinas High School, his alma mater, to serve on the Florida State softball staff. Cameron signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for the Seminoles out of high school. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The head baseball coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School is leaving to take a job at Florida State. Sherri DeBlasio, assistant to St. Thomas Aquinas High School athletic director George Smith, confirmed Monday that Cameron is leaving the Fort Lauderdale school after seven years. Assistant baseball coach Joey Wardlow has been elevated to take Cameron's place.
