Trump’s envoy Witkoff arrives in Moscow ahead of Russia-Ukraine peace deadline, Russian media say

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin says that President Donald Trump’s push for control over Greenland wasn’t surprising given longtime U.S. interest in the mineral-rich territory.

Russian news agencies say that Trump special envoy Steve Witkoff has arrived in Moscow for high-level talks.

Top U.S. and Russian officials had their most extensive high-level engagement since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine almost three years ago.

Russia and the U.S. have agreed to start working toward ending the war in Ukraine and improving their diplomatic and economic ties.

The head of the Russian sovereign fund bankrolling the shot says Russia is ready to provide up to 300 million doses of its Sputnik V vaccine to the U.N.-backed COVAX initiative.
