The Miami Marathon is Sunday and law enforcement will be implementing street closures from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Coconut Grove, Downtown, and Miami Beach.

There was an electric atmosphere at the finish line of the Miami Marathon on Sunday morning.

Four Miami-Dade police officers honored a fallen colleague Tuesday by lacing up their running shoes and hitting the pavement.

The event has been taking place since 2003. Organizers said they started with around 4,000 runners that year.

The Miami Marathon starts Sunday at 5:55 a.m. outside FTX Arena and runners will head over the MacArthur Causeway to Ocean Drive, through the art district and back around through Coconut Grove, finishing at Bayfront Park.
