That's the premise for a new PSA from the Concussion Legacy Foundation, which wants parents to consider the long-term damage youth tackle football could inflict on their kids. The goal is for parents to keep kids out of tackle football until they're 14 to lessen their risk of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. Plus, children's bodies aren't built to withstand the head-bobbling hits of tackle football, he told CNN. "They can choose not to play tackle football at all," he said. Bailes called the comparison between smoking and tackle football "misleading and inaccurate."

But in reality, it's a chilling battle cry against school shootings which stresses that these acts of violence can be prevented. The PSA was created by Sandy Hook Promise, the nonprofit formed after the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, that killed 20 students and six adults. "It's meant to be an intense video," Nicole Hockley, managing director of Sandy Hook Promise, told CNN's "New Day" Wednesday. Her son, 6-year-old Dylan Hockley, was killed in the Sandy Hook shooting. The PSA fits Sandy Hook Promise's mission to empower America's school kids with tools so they can look after themselves and their peers.

Artists coming to UK want to be paid in dollars

Read full article: Artists coming to UK want to be paid in dollars

Fergus Linehan, director of the Edinburgh International Festival, told CNN Business that many artists think the UK currency could weaken further ahead of the October 31 deadline for Brexit, eating into their earnings. The Edinburgh festival decided last November to take out insurance against a weaker pound, buying euros and dollars when one pound purchased $1.30 instead of the current $1.22. The Los Angeles Philharmonic and Berlin's Komische Oper have asked to be paid in dollars and euros, respectively. "We are doing work with people from Lebanon to Shanghai and they are also asking for tour fees to be confirmed in dollars or euros," Linehan said. The festival exchanged 1 million for dollars and euros in November, and will likely do so again next year, despite the costs and hassle.
