Trooper killed in shooting on I-95 in Martin County
PALM CITY, Fla. – A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was killed in a shooting Wednesday on Interstate 95 in Martin County. Trooper Joseph Bullock was fatally shot in the line of duty while assisting the public, the FHP said in a news release. Spaulding said Bullock was attempting to help someone in a disabled vehicle when that person fatally shot him. All lanes of I-95 were closed near mile marker 107 between Martin Highway and Kanner Highway as several Florida Highway Patrol troopers, Martin County deputies and investigators from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement could be seen gathered in the area. “It is truly a tragedy and it will take a long time for the Florida Highway Patrol to heal,” Spaulding said.

Family carjacked on way home from Disney World
Jaime Sagona was driving her brother, her mother and her infant back home to Miami on Sunday afternoon from Disney World in Orlando. And she was responding to the fact that she had a newborn, a 4-month-old, in the back seat," Snyder told WPBF. "You're not going to fight with someone as he's pointing the gun at the baby," Joanne Sagona told the station. Asked what he'd say to the victims, Jean replied, "I'm sorry," while being led Monday into the sheriff's office, video from WPBF shows. The sheriff's office did not immediately respond to CNN's request for more information.
