In softball and baseball, girls are getting more visibility at the Little League World Series

The trade organization that represents movie theater owners in the U.S. and abroad is getting a rebrand.

The Rhode Island farmhouse that inspired the 2013 horror movie “The Conjuring” has been sold to a Boston developer who plans to keep it open to the public.

A roster of film, TV and theater all-stars — including Steve Martin, Annette Bening, Billy Porter, Audra McDonald, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Chenoweth, David Hyde Pierce and Rosie Perez — have signed up for a 10-hour telethon to raise money for the victims of the war in Ukraine.

“Jackass Forever,” the fourth movie in the anarchic stunt and prank series, earned $23.5 million in ticket sales in its first weekend in theaters, according to studio estimates Sunday.

This week’s new entertainment releases include new music from Liz Phair, Lloyd Banks and Joe Walsh.
