Read full article: Visitors welcomed back to Florida Keys after Dorian threat minimized

Getty ImagesKEY WEST, Fla. - After the threat from Hurricane Dorian was minimized Saturday, officials in the Florida Keys have thrown down the welcome mat and are telling visitors to head back to leave the island chain. While there was no mandatory evacuation in place, concerns over potential interruptions of service regarding fuel and supplies led officials to ask visitors to leave if they were able. Visitors who were unable to leave were urged to discuss safety measures with personnel at their lodging properties. The Florida Keys website will have updates regarding the status of visitor facilities after the storm is no longer a threat to Florida." Copyright 2019 by WPLG Local10.com - All rights reserved.
