The Upper Keys Humane Society is putting the spotlight on its adoptable cats, and Local 10′s Animal Advocate Jacey Birch is helping to find them forever homes.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division conducted an operation Thursday targeting businesses selling alcohol in the Upper Keys.

Monroe County is considering shelling out up to $52 million dollars to replace their 22-year-old Trauma Star Helicopters that take patients from the keys to trauma hospitals in Miami.

Dry Tortugas National Park will close temporarily, beginning Monday morning.

Visitors who were unable to leave were urged to discuss safety measures with personnel at their lodging properties.
