With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the Humane Society of Broward County is encouraging pet lovers to open their hearts and homes to adoptable animals, including an affectionate puppy fittingly named Love.

Local 10′s Animal Advocate Jacey Birch is urging the South Florida community to adopt from the Florida Humane Society, where many pets are waiting for loving homes.

The annual VCA Walk for the Animals is about a week away in Fort Lauderdale.
