WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Donald Trump spoke to supporters at a campaign watch party early Wednesday morning at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.
“We are going to turn our country around,” Trump said as he still needed three more electoral votes to win the presidency. He officially won just hours later, securing 277 electoral votes.
In Miami’s Little Havana, Trump supporters celebrated at Cuban restaurants Versailles and La Carreta when Fox News projected that he won the presidential election. Crowds were also spotted celebrating outside the La Carreta in Westchester.
“This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained their country,” Trump told his supporters in West Palm Beach.
Barron, who voted for the first time, and his siblings Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany Trump were on stage.
Billionaire Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were among the crowd of supporters.
“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason, was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,” Trump said about the assassination attempts during his campaign.
Trump called for unity.
“It’s time to put the divisions of the past four years behind us,” Trump said. “It’s time to unite. We have to put our country first — for at least a period of time.”
