Hot and steamy Monday ahead, even warmer tomorrow
The heat is on, South Florida! Today high temperatures are expected to reach the lower 90s, about 5 degrees above normal for this time of the year. Some inland locations may even hit the mid-90s. Increasing moisture levels will make it feel warmer than what the thermometer is showing, with heat index values or "feels like temperatures" between 100 and 103 degrees by mid-afternoon. While a stray shower cannot be ruled out, rain chances are very low so there won't be much relief from the heat.
Similar conditions are expected again tomorrow with mainly clear skies sticking around for the next few days. High temperatures will be a couple degrees warmer. Slim rain chances of 10 to 20 percent will return to the forecast Thursday through the upcoming weekend to account for daily sea breeze showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and early evening.
