South Floridians face temperatures in the 40s Saturday morning

Expect coldest air in 2 years in Miami-Dade, Broward counties

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – South Floridians have experienced more than 60 consecutive hours with temperatures in the 50s or colder. That had only happened one other time in the last decade.

Miami-Dade and Broward counties still have one more chilly night to get through before it gets warmer. To stay warm, tourists wore layers in South Beach.

Restaurants on Lincoln Road pulled out their fire heaters near outdoor tables. The temperatures Saturday morning will be in the mid to upper 40s.

With the clouds finally clearing and lots of sunshine, high temperatures will reach 70 degrees. Sunday’s high will be 75 degrees.

The warming trend will be slow with a high of 77 degrees on Monday, and 79 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday. For the hour-by-hour forecast, visit this page.
